Parliament returns on Monday after the Christmas and New Year break. Debates will include consideration of the Water Bill, the Mesothelioma Bill and a debate on a topic chosen by the Labour Party. Wednesday will also see the first Prime Minister’s Questions of 2014.
In addition to dealing with constituency issues and my general duties in Parliament and at the Home Office, this week I will be:
- Joining other London Conservative MPs at a meeting with the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Bernard Hogan-Howe on current crime priorities in the Capital;
- Making a keynote address at the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism’s workshop on nuclear forensic capabilities – GICNT is a voluntary international partnership of nations and international organizations that are committed to strengthening global capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to nuclear terrorism;
- Giving evidence to the Parliament’s Scottish Affairs Committee on why Scottish security is best served by being part of the UK; and
- Holding a constituency advice surgery in Welling.
