Waitrose has confirmed that its new shop in Sidcup will open at 8am on Wednesday 4th September. The shop will be opened by opened by Old Bexley & Sidcup MP James Brokenshire and the Leader of Bexley Council, Cllr Teresa O'Neill.
The retailer has also confirmed that it has recruited 50 people from the local area to work at the store after receiving more than 300 job applications in just three days.

"The Sidcup Waitrose will provide an important boost to the High Street and welcome new jobs. I'm delighted that the new store will be opening its doors to customers in just a few weeks’ time.
