Sidcup Political Discussion

James Brokenshire joined local Conservatives and visiting MPs at a half day political conference to debate current policy priorities.  MPs Charlie Elphicke, Bob Neill and Jo Johnson (the newly appointed head of the Downing Street Policy Unit) led discussions at the event in Sidcup on a broad range of issues.

Topics included reform of human rights legislation, helping hard working people to get on, making the UK attractive for business in an increasingly competitive world economy and keeping the cost of living down.  The sessions also underlined important Government achievements such as cutting net migration by a third, cutting crime by 10%, freezing Council tax and taking 2.2 million people out of income tax altogether.
