Dartfordians RFC held a special event on Thursday to mark the completion of their Club House Extension. James Brokenshire was invited to cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the new facilities off Bourne Road in Bexley Village.
The new building will transform the facilities available to with the addition of significantly enhanced modern, spacious male and female changing facilities to support the club’s continued ambitions as well as seeing the opening of a new gym run by ‘Better Gym’ with membership open to the public. The project has taken several years of dedication and commitment to come together with funding and support from a range of organisations including the RFU and the Mayor of London.
Commenting James said:
“This is a fantastic new facility which will benefit the whole community. I am sure this will help attract more young people to get involved in sport locally as well as supporting the continued success of Old Dartfordians. A great deal of thanks and credit needs to be given to all those involved in bringing this excellent new community asset to completion.”
