After the long Easter Weekend - a busy few days ahead in Westminster. I'll be leading the Government's response on the Protection of Freedom's Bill which rolls back the creeping intrusion of the State which grew under the last Labour Government. The Bill is currently being considered in committee and we will have two full days of scrutiny on Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday I will be giving evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee on proposals to wind down the Forensic Science Service. Away from Parliament, I'll be chairing a round-table event with victims of anti-social behaviour as part of the current public consultation on reform of the powers available to the police and other agencies when responding to these incidents. I have little doubt that this will be a very valuable and informative session.
