James Brokenshire has welcomed news that the Bexley Village Post Office has now re-opened following its temporary closure.
Since November last year, James has been in regular contact with the Post Office to underline the importance of the Post Office to local residents.
The new Post Office opened on Monday 18th March 2019 at the Costcutter Supermarket, 26 Bexley High Street, DA5 1AD. The opening hours of the new Post Office are from 7am to 9pm on Monday to Saturday and 8am to 8pm on Sundays.
Customers will be able to carry out a wide range of Post Office transactions alongside retail purchases at the new low screened open plan serving point that is part of the retail counter.
Commenting on the re-opening, James said:
“After several months of campaigning, the re-opening of Bexley Village Post Office is very welcome news. The Post Office is vital to the community around Bexley Village and I am sure the new Office with extended opening hours will be warmly welcomed by local residents.”
