James Brokenshire has called on the Managing Director of Southeastern Trains to explain why local train services continue to be too unreliable and what immediate steps would be taken to improve performance. In his letter to David Statham, James expressed the sheer frustration of commuters highlighting punctuality data for trains serving Sidcup and Welling which the MP said were 'unacceptable'.
James has called on Southeastern to set out concrete details as to how they intend to tackle the late trains and disruption that passengers experience on an all too regular basis. In addition, James has asked the Rail Minister to hold Southeastern to account should their poor performance continue.
