James Brokenshire has attended a reception onboard HMS Ocean to highlight its role during the London Olympics. James was invited in his role as Minister for Olympic Security. The Royal Navy helicopter carrier is currently moored off Greenwich and has been taking part in air and maritime exercise in preparation for the Games.
During the period of the Olympics HMS Ocean will provide a platform for military capabilities to protect the Games. Whilst onboard James spoke to members of the crew on their preparations for the Games as well as receiving a tour of the vessel.
