James Brokenshire is taking part in the 21 Bridges Walk on Saturday 4 July in support of The Jimmy Mizen Foundation.
Over the last few years I’ve had the privilege to get to know Barry & Margaret Mizen and to learn about their inspiring work to promote safer communities for young people and to provide a legacy of peace in memory of their son Jimmy who was murdered in May 2008. I’ve been hugely impressed and moved by the difference they’ve made in the lives of so many people and how the work of The Jimmy Mizen Foundation through education, social action projects, safe havens for young people in communities is making a difference.
That’s why I’m taking part in 21 Bridges – a fundraising walk on Saturday 4 July crossing 21 Bridges in Central London and by doing so helping to make a contribution in support of this great work. The route is just over 21 miles starting in Richmond and following the Thames east to Tower Bridge. Cathy and the children are taking part too by joining up on a shorter family walk from Battersea.

Thank you for your help. I hope the legs and feet will last the distance!
