In Blackfen to sign people up onto the petition calling for a stop to the cuts at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup and for hospital managers to set out their vision for the future of the hospital.  Whilst it was pretty cold, we did get a number of shoppers to sign up and it was a worthwhile exercise.  Feelings on this important local issue remain strong.

492 Bus Meeting

I joined Cray Meadows Councillor Don Massey and Bexley London Assembly member James Cleverly at a meeting at the North Cray Neighbourhood Centre with the Cray Meadows Forum, the North Cray Residents Association and the Bedensfield Estate Residents Association to discuss poor service levels on the 492 bus.

The bus is the only form of public transport serving the communities of North Cray, the Bedensfield Estate and people living on the North Cray Road.

Buses only run half hourly during the whole day on a meandering route from Sidcup to Bluewater taking in the back roads of Bexleyheath, Crayford and Dartford. The service is frequently delayed in the rush hours and is one of the least reliable in Bexley.
