Welcome to my website.  Thank you for re-electing me as the MP for Old Bexley & Sidcup.  Bexley is my home and it is a privilege to serve this community. I will do my utmost to fulfil the renewed trust which has been placed in me.

James Brokenshire has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Old Bexley & Sidcup. 

James received 24,682 votes at Thursday’s General Election representing 52.8% of the votes cast and giving him a majority of 15,803.  The total turnout in Old Bexley

Securing the future of Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup has been one of my main priorities.  I’ve fought long for our local hospital after the last Labour government approved a plan to downgrade services creating years of crippling instability and uncertainty.

I am in no doubt about the importance of libraries as community assets.  That’s why I support Blackfen residents in ensuring that their library remains open and will work with Bexley Council and local community groups to secure the future of this important facility. 

James Brokenshire has urged Bexley Council to think again over potential plans to sell off Old Farm Park in Sidcup describing them as “mistaken”.
