Welcome to my website and thank you for your interest.  You'll find details of my campaigns and my priorities for Old Bexley & Sidcup.  Bexley is my home and it has been a privilege to serve this community. I seek your support to continue to champion this area's best interests.

Securing the future of Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup has been one of my main priorities.  I’ve fought long for our local hospital after the last Labour government approved a plan to downgrade services creating years of crippling instability and uncertainty.

We rely on good train services into Central London.  I welcome the multi-million pound investment at London Bridge Station which will transform this key London interchange for journeys from Bexley Stations.  But punctuality and overcrowding on key commuter services

I am in no doubt about the importance of libraries as community assets.  That’s why I support Blackfen residents in ensuring that their library remains open and will work with Bexley Council and local community groups to secure the future of this important facility. 

I’m pleased to have supported many new local businesses which are creating jobs and boosting the local economy. Since 2010 we’ve seen claims for unemployment benefit fall by a half.  We’ve gained from new shop openings and Sidcup has received a big boost with the

The continuing presence of the large rubbish pile at the old Waste 4 Fuel site in Cornwall Drive close to the A20 isn’t acceptable.  The fires at the site continue to cause unnecessary pressures for the London Fire Brigade as well as at times disruption for motorists.

James Brokenshire was elected as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Old Bexley & Sidcup in May 2010 with a majority of 15,857 and over 50% of the vote.  James lives in Bexley with his wife Cathrine and the couple’s three children.
